Mission Statement
RadiologyInfo™ is the public information website developed and funded by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). It was established to inform and educate the public about radiologic procedures and the role of radiologists in healthcare, and to improve communications between physicians and their patients.
Each section of the site has been created with the guidance of a physician with expertise in the topic presented. All information contained in the website is further reviewed by an ACR-RSNA committee, comprising physicians with expertise in several radiologic areas.
However, it is not possible to assure that this website contains complete, up-to-date information on any particular subject. Therefore, ACR and RSNA make no representations or warranties about the suitability of this information for use for any particular purpose. All information is provided "as is" without express or implied warranty.
This website will be updated frequently and expanded to include new information.
If you have questions (no medical advice or referrals) please see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. If you wish to submit comments please use the form on the Comments page or the comments area provided near the bottom of each procedure page.
